Kids Club is an 8 week after-school group program for children aged 8 to 12 years old who have experienced domestic and family violence. It provides steps towards minimising further harm to children and preventing trauma being carried into adolescence and adulthood.
At Kids Club, children have the opportunity to talk about their feelings while taking part in fun activities. Kids Club is a great way to meet new friends and identify safety networks. Throughout the program, children build self-esteem and learn more about themselves by becoming aware of their strengths and skills.
Kids Club runs through school term for 1.5 hours on a Thursday afternoon. Attendance is free and afternoon tea is provided. The sessions run from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
