Our team are the heart of Liberty – NSW Employer of Choice

pencil Posted 24th November

Liberty is proud to have been honoured amongst the state’s most innovative, forward thinking and courageous businesses at the Business NSW Awards on 9 November 2023.

Liberty was announced as the Winner of the Employer of Choice (20 and Under) Award and was a State Finalist in the Outstanding Community Organisation and Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion categories.

The state’s peak business organisation, Business NSW, celebrated winners from all over the state at a black-tie event at Sydney’s White Bay Cruise Terminal.

The event was attended by Premier Chris Minns, Small Business Minister Steve Kamper as well 500 people representing more than 130 businesses.

Business NSW CEO Daniel Hunter said these businesses have gone above and beyond with respect to innovation, diversity, inclusion, sustainability and leadership.

“It’s great to see so many businesses displaying such impressive courage and innovation to tackle the needs of NSW communities,” Mr Hunter said.

Liberty CEO Kelly Lamb said it was an honour to attend with local Member of Parliament and long term supporter Leslie Williams, Businessnsw Mid North Coast Regional Director Kellon Beard, along with MC Jessica Rowe, NSW Premier Chris Minns and Small Business Minister Steve Kamper.

“Taking the stage in front of 500 people to accept the Business NSW Award for Employer of Choice – 20 Employees and Under, means we may have sparked one important conversation, encouraged one woman to reach out for support, challenged one person to question their behaviours, and perhaps even saved one life,” Ms Lamb said.

“This award recognises the incredible work of our team, who are the heart of our organisation. It celebrates their commitment to the cause, to their colleagues and to the women and children we support.”
