Today we reflect on, acknowledge, and remember the women who have lost their lives so far this year to domestic and family violence.
National DV Remembrance Day serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need for continued advocacy and support to prevent violence in families and relationships.
Liberty held a private vigil paying our respects to those who have lost their life and acknowledge the victim survivors whose lives have been so heavily impacted by this ongoing issue and national crisis.
CEO Kelly Lamb shared “this day provides us with an opportunity for reflection and remembrance, a moment to connect with the harrowing truth of our work and its purpose so that future deaths can be prevented”.
Liberty team, Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams and local Police acknowledged 30 women sharing their name and story.
