What We Do

Kids Club

Kids Club is an 8 week after-school group program for children in Years 1 to 5 who have experienced domestic and family violence.

The program aims to improve wellbeing and safety and provides an opportunity to develop connections with other children and talk about feelings while taking part in fun activities.

What is Kids Club?

At Kids Club, children will:

  • identify and explore their strengths
  • develop a strong sense of self
  • explore cultural identity
  • develop skills to deal with life’s challenges
  • explore feelings and how these can be managed
  • learn mindfulness activities
  • identify safe people and ways to improve safety

How to get involved?

Kids Club is an interactive program which runs for 8 weeks during each school term for 1.5 hours on a Thursday afternoon. The sessions run from 3:30 to 5:00pm.

The program is free of charge and afternoon tea is provided. Children will receive an activity pack.
